    Preparation

    S girls go National (Parking)

Would HIGHLY recommend a July / August camping trip with ur friends. Sam, Sarah Sprout, and I all took to the Northwest for a week of horse riding, fishing, rodeos, hiking, s’mores, and million dollar memories.

    Step 1: Make an itinerary.

Campsites should be booked at least a month in advance but the earlier the better. We all chose a few spots we wanted to see and mapped them out. Ultimately, we left it up to how we were feeling, the weather, and prioritized the MUST SEE’s. Here is our final itinerary.

    TUESWEDTHURSFRI

Drive to Yellowstone. Stop at Grand Prismatic Artists Point for hiking. Stay at Bay Bridge Campground.
Drive through Hayden Valley. See Old Faithful. Stay at Bay Bridge Campground.Hike and swim and cliff jumping at Phelps Lake. Hike String Lake. Stay the night in Grand Tetons, Coulter Bay.Hang out at Jenny Lake. Shopping and exploring Jackson Hole. Stay the night in Jackson Hole.

    Step 2: Plan your meals

We wanted to cook our own food or at least, reheat it so we meal-prepped many of these items to bring.

I suggest eating the most perishable items first.

    • BREAKFAST IDEAS: Breakfast burritos; hash browns, eggs, bagels, croissants
    • LUNCH IDEAS: Premade salads, sandwiches
    • SNACK IDEAS: fruit (bananas, cuties, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples ) and granola bars, pretzels, jerky, cheese and crackers, fruit snacks, chips, popcorn
    • DINNER IDEAS:
      • Hawaiian rolls, rotisserie chicken, BBQ sauce
      • Mac’n’cheese
      • Hotdogs
      • Sausage & veggies
      • Chili
      • Tacos
    • SWEETS: S’mores, duh.
